Eta Kappa Rho Sorority Incorporated is a LGBTQ, non- profit, non-collegiate, community service-based organization. The purpose of this sorority is to unify lesbian & bisexual women of all labels and races, educate women in health & wellness, provide employment and education assistance, and to EMPOWER women around the world. Since its founding on April 20, 2018, in Orlando, FL., the women of this organization have fed countless homeless people, provided them with clothing, blankets, and toiletries in an effort to show compassion through example and provide a small amount of comfort to those less fortunate, given away backpacks and school supplies to the youth as well as toys for Christmas, assisted in helping women find employment and getting them back into school, aside from donating our time and money to many charitable organizations. Our goal is to unify and uplift the community by being the change that we want to see.

MASCOT

-The Panther-

The Panther (also commonly known as the Black Panther) is a large member of the Big Cat Family, native to Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Panthers are not a distinct species itself but is the general name used to refer to any black coloured feline of the Big Cat family, most notably Leopards and Jaguars. The Panther is an elusive and powerful animal that has adapted well to a variety of habitats around the world. It is also an incredibly intelligent and agile animal that is very seldom seen by people in the wild as they are generally very quiet and cautious. Panther are powerful and fearless animals that are feared by many due to the fact that they are also very aggressive by nature.

FLOWER

-Sunflower-

Sunflowers symbolize adoration, loyalty and longevity. Much of the meaning of sunflowers stems from its namesake, the sun itself. Even it’s petals are called “rays”. These flowers are unique in that they have the ability to provide energy in the form of nourishment and vibrancy—attributes which mirror the sun and the energy provided by its heat and light.
